Daniel Hall started his musical career initially playing cornet for St. Austell Youth Band. At the age of 12 he moved to the St. Austell Senior Band, a championship section Cornish ensemble, on 3rd cornet and worked his way up to second solo cornet.
At the age of 16 Daniel was awarded a scholarship to study composition at South West Music School and a scholarship to study composition at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama 2 years later. Daniel is also one of six composers in residence with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.
At the age of 18 Daniel already has 5 national composition awards to his name, some of which have lead to numerous commissions from ensembles such as Eminence Brass Quartet, A4 Brass Quartet, Tredegar Town Band, Poulten-Le-Fyde Brass Band, Salvation Army and many more.
Daniel’s Music is currently published with Prima Vista Musikk and has been performed around the UK in prestigious venues such as the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Royal Northern College of Music, Birmingham Conservatoire, The Sage Gateshead, Falmouth University, Goldsmiths University, Hall For Cornwall, The Barbican, Truro College and The Royal Opera House in Covent Gardens.
